Joy Olabisi serves as the assistant vice provost for graduate education and executive director of graduate admissions at Georgia Tech. In this role, she oversees the Graduate Admissions Office, managing a team of dedicated professionals responsible for processing over 40,000 applications annually. She also serves as the primary liaison for Graduate Education, working closely with academic program leads, administrators, and various campus units to implement strategies and develop resources that reinforce best practices in admissions and ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for graduate students.

Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Olabisi was an Associate Professor of Management at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where she was also appointed Director of the M.S. and B.S. in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) programs. While at RIT, she taught courses in the areas of organizational behavior, high-performance teams, and negotiations. She also served as a Faculty Senator as well as on several other college and institute-wide committees. Olabisi is an Honor Roll for Responsible Research in Business and Management award recipient as well as a member of the Sloan Scholars Mentoring Network, where she received a grant to study post-pandemic immigrant entrepreneurial activity. Her research interests focus on organizational learning, knowledge management, and community-oriented entrepreneurship within emerging markets, with an emphasis on embeddedness and networks.

Joy Olabisi received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. She earned her M.S. and PhD degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. She is passionate about mentoring and empowering students to access educational and workforce opportunities and in her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
